If you need help to find assistance in your local community and don’t know where to turn, NC 2-1-1 is the place to start.

NC 2-1-1 is an information and referral service that is operated by the United Way of North Carolina to connect North Carolinians to verified resources for basic needs, such as housing and utility assistance, food, healthcare, transportation, and more.

Anyone in North Carolina can dial 2-1-1 to talk with a trained Community Resource Specialist who will listen, identify needs, and connect callers to the closest resources that fit the unique needs of their situation. NC 2-1-1 is available in most languages, and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. If you are unable to make a phone call or just prefer to look for resources yourself, the online search tool at nc211.org provides detailed and verified information on resources in your local community as well as across the state.
