Communities In Schools of Wake County works with students in schools across Wake County to impact overall school goals. Evidence shows that attendance, behavior, coursework, and parent & family engagement are indicators of student success.


In Communities

Learning centers are facilities within Raleigh Housing Authority communities dedicated to providing out-of-school time support to K-12 students.


Our Mission

We surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. Every student deserves:

  • A safe place to learn and grow

  • A healthy start and a healthy future

  • A chance to give back to peers and community
