David Castaño
David is passionate about supporting all students and is intentionally supportive of those who are LatinX. He encourages his students to be confident in “their sameness” with others and appreciative of “their differences” while emphasizing that the verbs and adjectives of this wisdom are interchangeable. David Castano is a Success Coach and currently works with middle school students.
David obtained a bachelor’s degree in education from Santiago de Cali University in Cali, Colombia. He worked at Santiago de Cali University as a Language Instructor and was part of the National Audit team for the online programs. He also mentored volunteers who wanted to teach in Colombia. David has served as a church youth leader in Colombia. While serving in this role, he developed a passion for supporting children and adults in different communities by helping them improve their lifestyle through education and counseling.
After seven years of working in the Education field abroad, David decided to move back to United States where he spent most of his teenage years and made Raleigh his new home.
Fun Fact: David is most often the first to start laughing and the last to stop..which often triggers another round of laughter.
