Danya Perry serves as the Director of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusivity with Wake County. In this role, Perry leads countywide efforts to advance diversity, build equity, and accelerate inclusion. Perry seeks to create a strategic vision to promote belonging and support working environments where all have an opportunity to succeed. After a 12-year stint with CIS of North Carolina, Perry sought to stay connected by becoming a board member of CIS of Wake. Being a board member allows for him to continue advocating for education and youth development.

Perry is native to North Carolina, hailing from New Bern before earning a BA in Political Science and an MA in Public Administration from NCSU. Perry loves music, laughs, and seeks every opportunity to work across difference.
