David Castaño

Data & Program Support Director

David Castaño is passionate about supporting students and helping them reach their full potential. He began his work with Communities In Schools as a Success Coach, later served as a Program Support Specialist, and now leads as the Director of Data and Program Support, where he supports program implementation, data systems, and program quality.

David earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Modern Languages from Universidad Santiago de Cali in Colombia. He previously worked as a Language Instructor at SENA, Colombia’s national technical and vocational training institution. During that time, he also worked in high schools, participated on the national audit team for online programs, and mentored volunteers interested in teaching.

After several years working in education abroad, David returned to the United States and now proudly calls Raleigh, North Carolina, home.

Fun Fact: David is often the first to start laughing and the last to stop.
