How do I become a volunteer with Communities In Schools of Wake County?
1. Complete and submit a Communities In Schools of Wake County volunteer application or click here to fill out a volunteer application online. You can download an application and bring it with you to an orientation/training session.
2. Attend a Communities In Schools of Wake County volunteer orientation/training session. Click here to see an upcoming schedule.
3. Register at any Wake County Public School to become a volunteer.
4. The Coordinator from your preferred school site or after school center will contact you.
5. Connect with students who need you!
Can't commit to one hour per week?
One-Time Opportunities:
Volunteer and participate in a one time program or series of programs.
(Ex. Field Trips, Holiday Activities)
Be an I.M.A.G.E.S. Speaker:
IMAGES (Inspire, Motivate, And Go Educate Students) – Speak to our students for approximately 20 to 30 minutes about your profession and/or personal background.
